In this talk we will reflect on the social and political phenomenon of Milei’s rise: hypotheses on why he came to power, what aspects of his discourse resonated with a society disenchanted and disillusioned with the promise of democracy, the discrediting of traditional parties, and the conditions for the growth of outsiders.
